The module focuses on approaches to teaching and learning that are not subject-specific, but transdisciplinary. Students critically examine common curricular frameworks, and how they integrate knowledge, skills and attitudes (KSA). They develop an understanding of the interplay between elements of KSA and how they can be integrated into teaching practices across disciplines. The module looks specifically at how concept-based, transdisciplinary approaches to teaching and learning can support the development of KSA. Students are asked to reflect on their own teaching practice and school context and learn to meaningfully integrate transdisciplinary approaches to teaching and learning across subjects, school contexts, and curricular frameworks.
- This is an online module that allows in-service educators to study in their own time, wherever they are in the world.
- The module provides a foundation for a variety of different roles within diverse school and education contexts:
- Curriculum developer
- Curriculum coordinator
- Education policy developer
