Student vlogs on RUN-EU

In the 'vlogs by students' our international students at NHL Stenden show you what their student life is like in the Netherlands. In each episode, you get to see what a student gets up to during their day, where they go and what kind of accommodation they have.

Jasmin - Leisure & Events Management student doing a RUN-EU SAP in Portugal

Meet Jasmin, a first-year Leisure & Events Management student at NHL Stenden. She’s in Peniche, Portugal, for a RUN-EU short advanced programme called Event-Driven Innovation, focused on the 2025 Roche Surf League. After three weeks of online classes, she’s now on location — learning, exploring, and testing ideas linked to the UN Sustainable Development Goals during the surf competition. Jasmin is staying in a shared holiday house with other students, going to classes, events, and morning surf lessons. Today’s highlight? A behind-the-scenes tour! Her take so far? “I really, really enjoy this programme!” And tomorrow? Another early surf session.

Karolina - Creative Business student doing a RUN-EU SAP in Portugal

It’s all about connecting local residents with the gorgeous nature around them. It's a week-long of combining studying, working on the project and exploring a new city. She’s meeting students from completely different studies and countries. And what's her favorite city in Portugal? Lisbon!
