Creative Media Professional (AD) course summary
The first year of the course mainly covers understanding and experiencing media. You learn about what the media world is like and how you can set up and run a project well. The second year covers entrepreneurship in the media world. You learn how to come up with new business ideas and develop them within your own company.
At the end of the second year, you get to choose between setting up your own company or gaining experience in an existing organisation. You close the year with a portfolio in which you demonstrate what you can do as a media professional.
Semester 1: Media production
Experience how media is made and learn how to lead a team in transforming concept into media products.
Semester 2: Media Marketing
Gain insights into media business and help an organisation improve their media marketing plan.

Semester 3: Media Entrepreneurship
Develop your own business idea or explore ways of setting up your own projects within a company. Learn how managing your business and implementing your business ideas.
If you want to take your idea a step further, you can join our start-up
community based at MICA (Media Innovation Campus) and benefit
from weekly coaching sessions and workshops. At this creative hotspot, students and companies from the creative industry work
together on various innovative media and communication projects.
Semester 4: Internship and graduation
Follow an internship either for an existing media company or within your own business. This is your chance to specialise in the media world..

Design-Based Education
With Design-Based Education (DBE), ideas are turned into practical solutions, often in an international context. You will work in small interdisciplinary groups on assignments from actual clients. This is the best way to prepare for your future field. DBE places a strong emphasis on the personal development of our students. Guided by the academic staff, students take charge of their own learning path, exchanging feedback with their peers, lecturers and experts from the field, developing their particular interests and working on interpersonal and cross-cultural skills.
