In this minor, the work field of Marketing Communication is vividly linked to the world of Culture (in the broadest sense of the word). Together with fellow students from all over the world, you will work on an international marketing communication issue of a cultural organization.

Analyzing context, developing strategies and creating means of communication that fits the developed strategy best are all part of the curriculum. This minor focuses on theory, hands on assignments and good practice that you can immediately apply and implement within the cultural sector. Main issues will be looked at from different angles and perspectives. Basically, it is all about getting the message across the right way in order to reach the target group you want. On top of classes taught by communication lecturers you can also expect to get different insights from guest lecturers from professionals in the work field. The impact of the minor on the long term will be for you to be able to act professionally and effectively within the global cultural sector. Facility wise the Communication department will give you the opportunity to make use of state-of-the-art equipment, including a professional photo and film studio, hardware and software.
The project (the international marketing communication issue) is the central element of the minor (2 x 9 ECTS). While working on the project we will offer you a wide range of workshops, such as customer journey, creative thinking, concept testing, creating campaigns, storytelling and content strategy. The project is supported by four fixed courses (4 x 3 ECTS) focusing on diversity competence, eventing, visual creation and last but not least text and context.
