Minor content
You will learn and apply the business consultancy skillset, from business research and project management to calculating return on investment. Besides, you will also learn and apply the business communication skills which include personal branding, pitching ideas, conducting effective meetings, and professional writing.
The uniqueness of this minor compared to other minors, is that you will sharpen your financial literacy and get hands on experience via a financial simulation game, making a giving you an advantage in financial knowledge over other graduates. This minor will prepare you for your future career when it comes to understanding finances after graduating.
Structure of the minor
The learning outcomes are based on the competences of the bachelor education of International Business and are defined as Atelier Learning outcome (ALO).
Atelier 1: Business Consultancy: Principles and Practices (9 EC)
ALO 1: The student creates a project proposal for an Indonesian business by applying the consultancy frameworks and techniques and pre-tested and evaluated.

Activities: 7 atelier sessions, 7 expert sessions, 4 client meetings, 1 inspirational talk, and 4 field trips to the clients.
Atelier 2: Business Communication Skills (3 EC)
ALO 2: The student applies the communication skillset of a professional business consultant and demonstrates the ability to reflect and act upon his/her learning process with an emphasis on personal behaviour.

Activities: 7 atelier sessions, 2 expert sessions, 1 inspiration talk, 1 business communication consultation session, and 1 field trip.
Atelier 3: Financial Toolkit for Business Consultants (3 EC)
ALO3: The student produces management information by analysing the financial data sources in an international business environment.

Activities: 7 atelier sessions, 4 expert sessions and 6 rounds of a finance simulation game.

This minor is for most suitable for students from business and management bachelor programmes. Finance and accounting would be taught in this minor thus, the students are expected to be enthusiastic and motivated to broaden and deepen their knowledge about these subjects.
At the end of the minor, students will be equipped with the business consultancy skillset including business research, business communication, finance and accounting, and project management.
