New partnership with Caparis and Emco: mail with impact
On the Day of the Parcel Deliverer, we like to put them in the spotlight: the people who make sure mail and parcels arrive in the right place every day. At our location in Leeuwarden, we have been doing this together with Caparis since 1 January, and in Emmen with EMCO Groep. Since the start of this year, they have been responsible for our internal mail and parcel services. Well organised and practical, but with a bigger goal: meaningful work for people with a distance to the labour market.
Creating opportunities for talent in the region
For NHL Stenden, the deciding factor is social impact. Caparis is a talent development company that supports people with a distance to the labour market in finding work that suits them. This can be within Caparis itself or at one of the more than 100 partner organisations in the region, including NHL Stenden. Through this collaboration, the university of applied sciences offers them a place to use their talents and continue developing in a safe working environment.
A partnership with a longer history
NHL Stenden and Caparis have been working together for some time. Caparis offers internships to NHL Stenden students in areas such as Human Resource Management, Safety & Security Management Studies, Communication and Public Administration. Students also work on real-life challenges, such as strengthening Caparis’ image among younger audiences.
This exchange between education and the professional field fits seamlessly with how NHL Stenden designs its education: learning in practice and working together with industry partners on solutions to regional challenges.
Also increasing social impact in Emmen
At NHL Stenden in Emmen, a similar partnership has been established with EMCO Groep. This further strengthens NHL Stenden’s regional ties and creates opportunities there as well for meaningful work and personal development for people with a distance to the labour market.
