Nitro Tea, Enterprijs

Nitro Tea by Ramon Kok and Maarten Vloon was named the best Frisian student enterprise of 2023. The two NHL Stenden students were crowned the big winners at the final of the Enterprijs, in the Kanselarij in Leeuwarden this Thursday. They won a cash prize of 2,500 euros and six months of start-up support.

After pitching, the jury - consisting of Abel Reitsma, Linda Vermaat and Klaas Kooistra - declared Nitro Tea the winner of the evening. Ramon (Communication & Multimedia Design student) and Maarten (minor student Entrepreneurship) are marketing a healthy iced tea with their start-up, with a unique taste experience due to the addition of nitrogen.

In the final battle of the Enterprijs, Ramon and Maarten competed against three other finalists. Of the four start-ups, three were set up by students of NHL Stenden. Besides Ramon and Maarten with Nitro Tea, Kevin van Uem (with Zeedrang) and Mats Dekker (with Target Reality) were also in the final.

Het Center for Entrepreneurship

All NHL Stenden finalists are also affiliated with the Center for Entrepreneurship at their university of applied sciences. The Center for Entrepreneurship was created by NHL Stenden - with 'entrepreneurial' as one of its core values - to help (future) entrepreneurs, freelancers and self-employed people move forward and make it possible to work on one's own business while studying.
