Wayfinding app turns heads at national smart buildings event
Last week, NHL Stenden hosted a national event for the Smart Buildings Knowledge Network, a gathering of universities of applied sciences exploring how technology can make large educational buildings more user-friendly. The eZwayZ wayfinding-app stole the show. We recently tested this app in a pilot project. And the response? Let’s just say we’re not the only ones excited about it.
Lost on campus? Not on our watch
The goal: help students, staff, and visitors find their way around campus with ease. During the event, guests joined a guided tour of our Leeuwarden campus, phone in hand, app switched on. The result? A lot of curious questions, inspired conversations and even a few invitations to share our approach elsewhere.
More than just maps
The focus of the day was wayfinding, but the conversation quickly expanded. Think smart use of digital floor plans, integration with systems like YOS, and ideas to make navigating buildings smoother and smarter for everyone. It’s all about using tech not just to manage spaces, but to make life easier for the people in them.
Innovation in educational buildings
Smart building technology like wayfinding apps makes daily life at educational institutions a whole lot easier. No more wandering around looking for classrooms like a lost fresher on day one. This makes a real difference, especially for new students and visitors.
NHL Stenden continues to invest in clever solutions that enhance the campus experience.
