Since 2019, Charlotte has been committed to the professorship as a researcher and project leader. Her interest in the various aspects of media in society has led her to research podcast formats for both children (8-12 years old) and their parents, to start a project in which students made analyses of meaningful communication in times of COVID-19 and, for her Master Content & Media Strategy, to research the (online) communication preferences between educational institutions and collaborating organisations. Charlotte is currently the project leader of the European Influencers Academy. In this role, she organises “Swipe Up Weeks,” guides students in various assignments related to analysing influencers and creating content, and researches themes around responsible influencing.

European Influencers Academy

The European Influencers Academy is an initiative that focuses on researching responsible influencing. By organising so-called Swipe Up weeks, a maximum of 10 European influencers come together in Leeuwarden. During these weeks, influencers follow a program of masterclasses, discussions and research around the theme of responsible influencing. By engaging in dialogue and working together with influencers, students, teachers and external organisations, we get to know different perspectives.
