After five years a DP certificate needs to be renewed. For a renewal or revalidation of an existing certificate, 150 DP sea time days are required. If sufficient days are not obtained, this course will extend your current certificate for another five years (if attending for the first time).

What to expect
You will work with practical scenarios based on real operations. Furthermore, you will train on planning and executing specified operations under varying simulated conditions. During the operations, you will face typical DP failure modes. This course also focuses on communication with field control, other vessels, and the different departments onboard. To make sure that you will act in different roles during the course.
