Learning & Innovation in practice
The online courses mean you can study in your own time and engage in online sessions with course lecturers and peers. During the residential period, you can take between one and three core courses and connect directly with course lecturers, other students, and guest lecturers.
During your studies, you are part of an international community of learners and can draw on this by working both individually and collaboratively on a variety of tasks. The tasks are designed around the questions you and your fellow students bring in from your own professional practices, school contexts and personal experiences. It means you work on practical assignments from real situations, working in groups and coached by lecturers and professionals with relevant professional experience. It’s a way of learning, an educational concept, we call Design-Based Education. You learn to draw on feedback to adapt your ideas and become more flexible, while also developing your teamwork and leadership skills.
Career
Today’s professionals need to have in-depth knowledge and strategic skills to make a difference and create solutions for complex problems. As a master’s student at a university of applied sciences, you work closely with industry and carry out research for a particular company or organisation, such as the school you work in. This means your thesis question covers a current issue and the findings and conclusions in your final thesis are supported by both academic theory and practical insights. This sets you up as an expert and innovator in your field of work.
