The research group Vital Economy focuses on promoting a circular economy, inclusivity and broad prosperity in the North of the Netherlands. Our mission is to develop and share knowledge about broad prosperity, with a focus on financial, ecological and social values. The research group invites professionals to fundamentally change their behavior and actively contribute to the necessary transitions.

Within the Vital Economy research group, the professorships Green Economics & Process Optimization and People, Work & Organization join forces and collaborate with a wide range of organizations. From startups to large companies, from hospitality to electronics and from manufacturing companies to logistics service providers.
The Vital Economy research group aims to contribute to the transition towards a more sustainable economy.
