The development and the use of technologies for energy conservation and renewable energy sources are an essential means of reducing energy consumption and dependence on fossil fuels, which will have a positive impact on our prosperity. This is the focus of SDG 7 and many choices at NHL Stenden are based on this SDG.
Together we contribute to a sustainable and affordable climate at our locations, for example, by reducing energy consumption in our university buildings through technological adjustments and developments. In addition, in the context of our business operations, we rely on an integrated sustainability perspective, for example when it comes to our energy supply, transport, waste and water consumption.
Sustainable energy in education and research
Sustainability is a key pillar when it comes to quality within our institution. Sustainability is a key driver in our operational management, however, our teaching and research also devotes attention to the energy transition, making processes more sustainable and combating energy waste.
